in the USA. But some parents find the doll troubling. They think the thin but busty doll resembles fashion models more than

ordinary women. They think that the doll encourages negative stereotypes of women. The company that makes Barbie

dolls has tried to answer parents' concerns by including "Doctor Barbie" and "Dentist Barbie" for example. These dolls

show Barbie working in serious jobs. But one skeptical parent noticed that the Dentist Barbie wears a short skirt and tight

blouse that you are unlikely to see in a real dentist office.
