OurCulture is a typical grass-root wiki that is full of people, ideas and life. It needs an intuitive user interface - because people can't be trained - and a hierarchical page structure so that the various initiatives don't overlap. The SideBar is important to hold the system together because the common focus is not that strong.

Wiki4D supports the community efforts to create the Programming language D, an object oriented successor of C. Hierarchical page structures are used widely, especially for suggestions to improve the documentation, feature requests and to build concepts and smaller projects. This project has no admin or host, it's completely self-organized. The redesign was done by a normal contributor who showed interest and got the access rights.

ProWiki offers full support for Unicode so that any language can be used. The example shows a wiki for the "school 506" in St. Petersburg and the interactive translation map. So the translation can be edited like a normal wiki page.

GruenderWiki is a German community for wiki initiators to share experiences and to help each other. It's similar to MeatballWiki but is organized as a democracy. The FrontPage shows an automatic table of content (CdmlToc) and part of the hotspots display (CdmlHotspots). It is minimalistic in design to not become a battle-ground of engine developers.
