Web Browser

A WebBrowser is a software program that is used to access the WebPages of the Internet. There are a number of competing products which differ in their features and the command extensions that they understand.

Common WebBrowsers:

  • Internet Explorer (Microsoft)
  • Firefox (Mozilla)
  • Opera
  • Navigator (Netscape)
Note: Users and Developers must not assume that a WebPage that shows in a certain from and works in a certain way on their personal system (computer, OperatingSystem, WebBrowser, installed plugin set, ...) will look and work the same for someone using something different. Only a lot of testing and defensive programing and designing can guarantee that a website will work (almost) for everyone.
