Edit
A set of pages. Typically the pages are from a single wiki so that any setspecification may be resolved to a simple list of pagenames.

There are wiki functions that work on pagesets (there will be some development there):

  • listing
  • searching
  • evaluations
    • calculations
On the other hand we need instruments to specify and work with page sets:
  • implicit
    • index (all pages)
    • top pages (1th level pages)
    • search results (pages that contain...)
    • page context (pages edited e. g. last week)
    • ...
  • relativ to a page
    • Descendants
    • Children
    • Grandchildren
    • Uncles
    • Father
    • Grandfather
    • Sisters
    • Forefathers
  • specified
    • by list (pagenames, Urls, InterMap?, ...)
    • by a wildcard system (to be constructed)
    • by categories
  • ...

Note that there are alternative way to describe/resolve page-sets, useful if two or more wikis are involved. The most portable, and most likely to break horribly if a wiki moves, is to use the canonical URLs of the sites themselves. If you're lucky, the site is on a domain with unbreakable URLs that will work forever. Alternatively, you could use standard InterMap? notation if that makes sense. -- ChrisPurcell
